Daughters of the Lake by Wendy Webb Book Review

I enjoy this author’s writing. I like visiting the town of Wharton.

Kate Granger found herself going back to Wharton to visit her cousin, Simon, one of the innkeepers of Wharton. She just needed to unwind from her own life for a minute. She found that she was getting much more than she bargained for.

What I enjoy about Wharton are all the ghosts that stay in town … creating their own sense of mischief, but they’re mostly harmless.

In this case, one particular spirit visited Kate in her dreams and wouldn’t let Kate ‘rest’ until she listened.

There is also a bit of a love story between these pages, which is something I wasn’t expecting and I’m sure Kate wasn’t either.

I really enjoy the stories that unfold in Wharton. I like the ghostly vibe the pages portray. I especially liked Kate’s character as she was not going to give up until she found the answers that she was looking for.
